Young Innovators Program




The Young Innovators Program at Jackson State University is a hands-on STEM initiative designed to inspire and empower the next generation of innovators. The summer program engages middle and high school students in cutting-edge innovation practices. Participants gain the skills, tools, and mentorship needed to develop their creativity and technical expertise.

Program Highlights





  • 3D Printing and Prototyping:
    Learn to design and print 3D models to bring creative ideas to life.
  • App Development:
    Dive into coding and create functional mobile applications.
  • Podcasting:
    Develop technical and content creation skills to produce engaging STEM podcasts.
  • Design Thinking Workshops:
    Foster problem-solving and creativity with a human-centered approach to innovation.
  • Robotics:
    Build and program robots while learning the basics of engineering and automation.
  • Pitching Sessions:
    Develop entrepreneurial ideas and present them in a pitch competition to refine communication and teamwork skills.
  • Gaming:
    Students will learn about eSports, gamification of content, and more.
